Des Plaines, Ill. (Aug. 26, 2025) – Oakton College invites the community to experience an inspiring lineup of theater, music and student performances this fall. From thought-provoking plays and toe-tapping concerts to student showcases and comedy, the season promises engaging cultural experiences for audiences of all ages.
"This fall, we’re bringing together voices, stories and sounds that reflect both timeless traditions and bold new creativity,” said Bob Gynn, chair of the Oakton College Performing Arts Center. “Whether you’re a longtime patron or joining us for the first time, you’ll find performances that entertain, challenge and inspire.

The Zoo Story – By Edward Albee, directed by Mary Ringstad-Gagliano

This gripping two-character drama explores human isolation, class differences and the urgency of understanding one another.

This staged reading follows three adventurous Victorian women exploring “Terra Incognita” and discovering unique times and places.

Some of the world’s great guitarists come to Oakton for this annual celebration of guitar virtuosity, which includes performances and free workshops.

The concert will feature a variety of styles and composers performed by the Oakton Jazz Ensemble that will delight one and all.
