Oakton College Flooding Update: Des Plaines campus closed April 21; Remote learning will be available
Oakton College’s Des Plaines campus will be closed on Tuesday, April 21, due to flooding. Classes scheduled at the Des Plaines campus will be held remotely to the extent possible, and services will be available virtually.
The Oakton College Board of Trustees meeting, scheduled at 6 p.m. will be held at the Skokie Campus in room P-103 on Tuesday, April 21.
All other events and activities at the Des Plaines campus are canceled.
The Skokie campus and Evanston Health Careers Education Center will operate normally, and services will be available.
Classes scheduled at the Des Plaines campus will be held virtually on Tuesday, April 21, to the extent possible. More information will be communicated by your instructor via email and/or your D2L shell located in the myOakton student portal.
Essential personnel, including facilities employees and sworn police officers, should report to the Des Plaines campus as scheduled. Other employees may be contacted by their supervisor if they are deemed essential.
No other employees, students or community members will be permitted on campus. Employees scheduled to work at the Des Plaines campus should work remotely to the extent possible.
